Sample answer:

For several years I volunteered as a youth football coach in my hometown. The club started small and received minimal funding by the community through donations and fundraisers. I decided to take the initiative to find ways for the club to grow, including applying for grants and speaking to local media outlets about club registration drives and fundraisers. I also reached out to a retired pro football coach for help developing a new training program for the kids. In turn, he invited some local pro football players who wanted to give back to their community to come and speak with our players about the game.

After four years, our youth football program is recognized as one of the best in the region, and our funding efforts have paid off, as we can now contribute to developing a new football field in our community.
