Academic Curriculum
Students at Dell Med learn and educate one another by case studies, art studies to promote understanding, and incorporating experience through caring for patients and the environment, among other things. Don’t forget that while you will be expected to submit a TMDSAS personal statement, not unlike the AMCAS personal statement, you will also submit TMDSAS personal characteristics and optional essay as part of your primary application.
The admissions committee evaluates how well the candidate’s experiences and academic record align with the school’s mission and standards during the initial evaluation. Non-academic commitments, leadership activities, creative endeavors, rigor of previous coursework, success patterns, interactions relevant to the school’s mission, socio-economic status, and community work participation are all factors considered by the reviewer.
Dell Medical uses a special video secondary application to allow a larger selection of candidates the ability to introduce themselves to the admissions committee. If the candidate is chosen for further review, an email invitation is sent with instructions about how to plan and send the video via a free online portal. Questions on particular facets of the school’s mission make up the secondary application. The applicant discusses how their experiences can help them cope with medical school in a two-minute answer to each issue. The secondary application has a deadline of November 16th. Each applicant is considered when both the primary and the secondary application are submitted.

Additionally, you should keep in mind that Dell medical school gives unprecedented preference to Texas applicants. Interview Formats

The interview process involves a typical twenty-five-minute interview, five Multi-Mini Interview stations, and an observed social exercise to determine distinct experiences and viewpoints that the participant will bring to their class and community.
All interviews will be conducted virtually. The admissions committee is trying to build an interview-day environment as similar to the on-premise experience as possible and innovative opportunities for students to learn about Dell Medical School by creative means.
Candidates for video interviews must have a computer with a webcam and a stable internet connection.
