Saskatchewan is also Canada’s sunniest province! Practicing medicine in Saskatchewan allows a physician to practice in urban and rural settings, as well as with underserved populations.

The University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine's mission is to "improve health through innovative and interdisciplinary research and education, leadership, community engagement, and the development of culturally competent, skilled clinicians and scientists. Collaborative and mutually beneficial partnerships with Indigenous peoples and communities are central to our mission." Last year, approximately 550 applicants competed for 270 interviews and 100 spots into the MD program.
