At the X Medical Centre, I volunteered at the long-term psychiatric ward. Working alongside physicians and nurses, I acted as a bridge between the health professionals and the patients. My duties included hosting Bingo night to engage patients and assess their social behavior and interactions. I developed critical thinking skills as I often interacted with patients with limited background knowledge and had to use nonverbal communication skills to quickly determine whether a patient was in the mood to be approached or if they would prefer to keep their space at that time.
