Description

Music, like many art forms teaches the value of patience and how subtle intricacies distinguish your art from being average to outstanding. At the age of six I decided I needed to start playing the piano, at eleven I thought I would try my hand at saxophone, and then in high school, when I bought my first leather jacket, I of course had to learn guitar. Whether it was competing in piano competition, performing in jazz band, or finally nailing the guitar solo in "Hotel California", music has also grown and evolved along with me throughout my life. It is a hobby that has taught me how culture and music shape people and led me to explore how understanding culture can enrich one as an individual.
