Experience Name: Binghamton University Student Ambassador

Hours: 20 hours

Most Meaningful: No

Description:

Binghamton University Student Ambassador helps prospective students and their families learn more about attendance, residential life, and academics. I have always wanted to overcome my shyness and decided to become a student ambassador to practice talking to strangers. Initially, I thought I had to tell impressive stories to reflect my university in a positive light. Yet, I learned students wanted to hear about my genuine experience, rather than wanting to be entertained. With this in mind, I became more comfortable talking honestly about my time at Binghamton. I realized the importance of honestly informing my patients about treatment options to foster a trusting relationship with them.
