Common Medical School Interview Question #3

"Have you applied to other schools? Which ones? Why those schools?"

I have applied to several schools in Canada and the United States. As a Canadian citizen and a resident of Ontario, I had limited choices in medical school at home, so I applied to Canadian friendly US medical schools like yours to have a wider net of options. However, I did not apply blindly. If you take a look at my school list, you will notice that I was applying to medical schools whose mission is to improve the healthcare in rural, remote, and underserved regions. My goal is to serve these types of patient populations and I look forward to gaining more experience in these areas.
